Bangladesh’s passport, according to the latest data, is ranked 100th in the 2025 Henley Passport Index, along with Libya and Palestine. In addition, according to the Passport Index, Bangladeshi passports have visa-free access to 16 countries, visa-on-arrival access to 32 countries, and visas are required for 147 countries.

With the removal of Lesotho from the 2024 list, the number of countries that are completely visa-free for Bangladeshi passport holders in 2025 has decreased from 22 to 21. Seychelles, which currently uses the ETA system, was on the on-arrival list last year. Togo, which is on the same list, is now following the e-visa system. 

Therefore, the number of countries that provide on-arrival visa facilities has decreased from 18 to 16. For the same reason, 3 countries now have the ETA system, up from 2 last year. In total, Bangladeshi passport holders will be able to travel to a total of 40 countries without a visa in 2025. In addition, this year, a total of 34 countries will have e-visa facilities due to having a Bangladeshi passport.
