Applicants can submit their applications through the UK official website. Eligibility for this visa is for students currently living in the UK, who are either student visa holders or Tier 4 (General Student Visa) holders, who have completed a UK undergraduate degree, postgraduate degree, or other course for a specified minimum period, or whose educational institution has confirmed their graduation.
While the standard duration of this visa is around 2 years, those with a PhD or other doctoral degree can stay for around 3 years. Extensions to a graduate visa are not permitted, but applicants can transfer their graduate visa to a different visa category, such as a skilled worker visa.
However, it is important to apply before their student visa or Tier 4 student visa expires. The application process can only begin once an educational institution, such as a university or college, has notified the Home Office of the completion of a degree under a student or Tier 4 student visa. There is no need to wait until you have graduated or received your certificate before applying.
